Our Team
Dr. Jae Kwon
Dr. Kwon received his veterinary degree at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Chungnam National University in South Korea after completing a 2 year pre-vet course and a 4 year veterinary medicine course. He continued his studies at Oklahoma State University and finished his clinical year at Tuskegee University in Alabama.
Educated in both South Korea and the United States, Dr. Kwon studied and practiced in several states including Ohio, Oklahoma, Alabama and Nevada before settling in California in 2008. While studying, Dr. Kwon completed various externships in the Bone, Joint and Spine Orthopedic Specialty Clinic, emergency rooms, general practices and a US military veterinary hospital. Having worked as a Senior Doctor in local veterinary hospitals and an energency room veterinarian in Orange and LA County, he is highly trained in general practice and surgery and is devoted to building strong relationships with his clients. Dr. Kwon’s goal for his profession is to build an animal hospital that provides high quality genreal veterinary medicine as well as total patient care and services.
Veterinary dermatology, internal medicine, endocrinology, radiology and soft tissue surgery are one of Dr. Kwon’s many professional interests. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
An interesting fact about Dr. Kwon is that he had previously majored in Civil Engineering. Equipped with this background as well as extensive veterinary training and a passion for animals, Dr. Kwon poured his knowledge, heart and soul into the construction of the hospital.
Outside of work, Dr. Kwon ejoys dining out, playing tennis, traveling abroad and spending time with family and friends.
